Love is not "Rude"!

 Love is not “Rude”….  (1 Corinthians 13:5)

Love, is not "Rude”?

God is Love!

Love has “Good Manners”!

The description of Love in Chapter 13 includes a list of what “Love is Not”.

Rude – Acting “unbecomingly” and “inappropriately”.

Rudeness is rooted in “selfishness”.

I heard a man say, our society is in a “renaissance of rudeness”.

Being rude is evidence that I am not obeying the command to “Love My Neighbor As I Love Myself”!  Christians are supposed to be Like Christ, seeking to help not to hurt, harm, cause discomfort, cause pain.  To make people hurt like this is the fruit of wicked thinking and doing these things to people are evil.

This paragraph is a Writing on Our Daily Nugget from “Got Questions.org”.

Rudeness is finding more and more acceptance in today’s culture.  Public behavior and words that were unthinkable a generation ago are now commonplace.  Manners are meant to reduce friction of human interaction; discourtesy reveals a lack of consideration for others.  The ill-mannered person is communicating that “its all about me”.  Love, by contrast, cannot be selfish, for the simple reason that love is concerned for the other person’s well-being.  Therefore, love is mannerly. Rudeness and Kindness cannot “Walk” Together!

Being “kind” one to another brings in

harmony, unity, trust, joy, fellowship, peace, a true desire to do for others.

These are “Fruits” of Kingdom Thinking that unfolded into Kingdom Living.

Rudeness is a characteristic of the fallen state; the way we were before we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior. To repent means that we have changed from that selfish (rude) mentality; because “Our Lord” now “Owns” us and we must do with “us” what He say.

There is never any “Benefit” from being rude.  The person we’re being rude toward often times end up with a blessing from God when they respond to our rudeness in a way that pleases God.

Being "rude" benefits darkness.  Being “kind” benefits “light”!

Our job as Kingdom Citizens is to be “Light” for a dark world.  Satan’s job is to prevent us from being “Light” for a dark world.  Anytime we are confronted with an idea to be “rude” to anyone concerning anything, remember that that idea is from a demonic spirit; turn on the “light” by remember the Love Is Not Rude.
