Steadfast!

Therefore, my beloved brothers be “steadfast” “immovable” “always abounding” in the “work of the Lord” knowing that in the Lord your “labor” is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

 

Steadfast!

 

The Therefore, 

in our Daily Nugget is concerning all of Chapter 58.  The people had started believing “differently” than what Paul had taught them about the “Resurrection of Christ”.  This is a foundational belief for “Salvation”; an extremely important issue.

 

There is Salvation from the “Penalty and the Power” of sin! 

Salvation from the “penalty” of sin allows us to enter heaven when we die.

Salvation from the “power” of sin allows us to live in victory up until we die!

 

“Steadfast and Immovable”

in our “belief” and “faith” is the Mentality that is required of Kingdom Citizens!

God “cannot” use us if we are not “steadfast” and “immovable”.

 

Steadfast – To be firmly fixed and not subject to change, to be firm in belief and determination, and to be “loyal” and “faithful”.  Likewise, to be immovable is to be unyielding and incapable of being moved or diverted.

 

You can depend on me to “Love You”, even though I am Very Mad at you.

I will not be “rude” and “disrespectful” to you, because I am mad at you.

This “living” shows that I am steadfast and immovable.

My “feelings” do not guide my “actions!

This is what steadfast looks like.

 

Abounding-To be filled with something.  Contain a very large amount of something.

 

Paul stated in the beginning of Chapter 15 this;

Now, my brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you stand.  By this gospel you are saved, “if you hold firmly to ‘the word’ I preached to you”.  Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

 

Vain Belief is the fruit of Turning Away From God.

If we are not “steadfast” and “immovable” in our conviction to Jesus, 

then our conviction to the world will fill the void.

Paul told them “You Are Saved By This Gospel, ‘If You Hold Firmly To It’”!

 

The Sheep of Jesus, “Cannot Be Led Astray”!

 

Jesus said, My Sheep Hears My Voice and None Other Will They Follow!

The voice of Jesus is found in “The Bible”, The Word!

The mouth of Jesus is the Holy Spirit!

 

Bad Company “Corrupts Good Character”!

The Bible says, liars listen to lies, evil people listen to evil ideas, Kingdom Citizens listens to The Holy Spirit, Kingdom Citizens follow The Word Only!

 

We Are What We Consume!

 

We must “receive” into our “minds” (heart) images, ideas, imaginations that leads to life.  In our Daily Nugget the people would not have been led astray had they not “listened to or even heard” those other ideas which leads to death.

 

Always remember, “Thoughts Are The Beginning Of Things”!

Let your “thoughts” be on “things” that lead to “Life”!

 

Jesus “paid it all”!

 

Ask God To Bless You With 

“The Spirits of Steadfastness and Calm”

And Watch What Happens!
