The Sun and Moon Obeyed A Man!

On that day the Lord gave Israel the victory against the Amorites. Joshua stood before all the Israelites and said to the Lord: "Sun, stop over Gibeon.  Moon, stand still over the Valley of Aijalon.”  So, the sun did not move, and the moon stopped until the people defeated their enemies. This story is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky. It did not move for a full day.  That had never happened before, and it has never happened again.  That was the day the Lord obeyed a man.  The Lord really was fighting for Israel!  (Joshua 10:12-14)

The Sun & Moon Obeyed A Man!

Nothing is too hard for God!

“Whatever” we want, “Ask God For It”; He Loves Us!

Our Daily Nugget

occurs as God was fulfilling his promise of giving Israel the Promised Land.  There were people living in the land when God promised that land to Israel, therefore, before God could give them the land the other people had to go.  God had given Israel victory over one country after another.  The other nations were afraid of Israel because God was allowing them to defeat all the other nations.

Five Kings combined their armies to attack Gibeon; Gibeon could not defend itself.  The King of Gibeon asked the man of God, Joshua, to come help them fight the five armies.

Joshua “asked God” if he should go help Gibeon”,

The Lord said yes, and I will fight for you.

Joshua did not depend on self to decide, He depended on God.

Joshua lived a life that was pleasing to God.

One of the promises God gives us in the Bible

is that “we can ask what we will, and it will be done unto us”.

This promise becomes real to us individually, as we trust and obey.

The Lord Wants To Fight Our Battles.

When Joshua and Gibeon attacked the five kings; God caused large hailstones to fall from the sky on the armies of the five kings.  More of the soldiers were killed by the hailstones then by the sword.

The Lord will not fight for us if we have chosen to live a life of disobedience and sin.  None but the righteous, the right livers, shall see God’s Victory”.  The Hand of God is against us when we chose to walk in disobedience to The Bible,

God’s Word.

Joshua Loved the Lord.

The Lord said, if you love me, you will obey me.

When we “refuse” to Love the Lord, things will not go well for us.

Rather I Love the Lord or not is not based on how I feel, it’s based on what I do.

What we do, speaks so loud, till no one hears what we say.

Take it to the Lord!

Do not try to fight your own battles.

Your deliverer is standing by; just call on him.

If the king of Gibeon

had not asked the Lord to help them, they would have been defeated.
