Power – The Fruit of a “Humble & Patient” Spirit!

 

So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God.  He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.  (Genesis 45:8).

 

The Lord “Lifts” the Humble and He “Humbles” the Proud!

Joseph was humble, his wicked, evil, and jealous brothers were proud!

 

Our Daily Nugget

is about a man named Joseph, who God had chosen to use, whose father found favor in him over his older brothers, and whose older brothers was jealous of him, sold him into slavery and lied to their father that he had been eaten by wild animals.

 

Joseph was very humble, nowhere in scripture do we see him “fighting for his rights”.  He had been abused and misused by everyone except God and his father.  Joseph was not only humble, but he was also forgiving and giving.  Joseph sought God’s help and he waited on God’s help.

 

God is Always in Total Control; just “Trust Him” and Wait!

God has committed himself to fight for the “Humble Spirit” that Waits!

 

Joseph’s brothers were devious, liars, and very jealous; all the Bible is for instructions to us on how to live and not live.  Devious, lying, and jealous people are alive and active today, even in our Churches and families.  Joseph is our example of how we should not be like his brothers but be like him.

 

To “Wait on the Lord” will lead us to Look like Jesus.

To “Not Wait on the Lord” will lead us to look like Satan.

 

The Lord “laughs” at the strategies of the wicked and evil today.  Joseph’s brothers were wicked and evil.  They thought of the wicked ideas to do away with him, while God had plans of making him second in charge of all Egypt.  We are to “Count ‘It’ All Joy” when trials come our way, and “Wait on The Lord”.

 

God’s Ways are Far Above Our Ways,

Just “Trust” and “Obey” in All Circumstances, Stay Humble, Wait,

And Watch What Happens!
