                                                                  A Chicken or An Eagle?


 Chickens “Picks”, and Eagles “Soars”.


But those who “Hope” in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will “Soar” on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  (Isaiah 40:31)


We can “Pick” At Issues, or we can “Soar” Over Issues.


To Soar over an issue is to “Trust God to Handle the Issue”; “It’s Hope”.  To Pick at an issue is to Trust self to handle the issue; “It’s Doubt”.  God has told us that “On Our Own We Can Do No Good Thing”; therefore, God has made Hope available to us.


Our Daily Nugget

is letting us know how to “Effectively Deal With Issues in Life”.  We can “soar over the issues”, like eagles soar, or we can “pick at issues” like the chickens pick.  


A eagle and a chicken are both considered birds.  The eagles take advantage of what “God Has Provided”, “The Wind’s Currents and Updrafts”; they get in the Will of God and “Soar”.  If a chicken see another chicken that has a sore, the chicken will pick at the sore and make it grow until the chicken is dead.


Love leads us to soar, like the Eagle.

A lack of Love will lead us to pick, like the Chicken.


Hope - A “Confident Expectation” and “Trust in God’s Promises and His plan for 

            the Future”.  It’s a virtue “Rooted in Faith”.

Soar - The act of “rising or flying high, frequently using the imagery of an eagle.  

           It symbolizes spiritual elevation, divine inspiration, and overcoming earthly 

           challenges through “Faith”.


When we Hope in the Lord, we Soar like the Eagle; we call it Faith.  When we have “no hope”, we will pick at each others issues until we destroy one another.  This the Destiny of Doubt and a Lack of Love.  To Hope in the Lord is “To Renew Our Strength”.  If we find ourselves unable to Exercise our Faith, all we need to do is to “Remember” that the Lord’s unfailing Love and Mercy, still continues, “Fresh as the Morning, as Sure as the Sunrise”; therefore, we place our Hope in the Lord..  


The Choice is ours “Today” to be a Chicken or an Eagle!
