Pleasure's Deceit.
Pleasure’s Deceit.
All that Glitter Ain’t Gold.
The seed that fell among thorns stand for those “who hear”, “But” as they go on their way they are “Choked” by life’s worries, riches and “Pleasures”, and “They Do Not Mature”. (Luke 8:14)
It is better to go to the “house of morning”, than to go to the house of feasting (pleasure): for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart (mind). (Ecclesiastes 7:2)
The Bible say,
Wise people Think about Death, Fools Think about being Happy, (Pleasure).
Pleasure, What is It? Used or intended for “entertainment” rather than “business”.
Our Daily Nugget
is letting us know that our pursuit of “worldly pleasure” can be “spiritually harmful”; for seeking worldly pleasure can and does “blinds us” to what God would have us to do with what He Has Given To Us. Our seeking Pleasure for ourselves utilizes our resources, which comes from God, on self and not others.
While God-given joys are to be savored,
“An Excessive or Exclusive” Pursuit of worldly pleasures is “spiritually harmful and can lead to emptiness”.
Solomon says, wise people think about death, and fools think about being happy (pleasure). If you find that scripture offensive because you know you spend a great amount of time and resources on obtaining pleasure for yourself; “Count It As A Blessing”. The Holy Spirit might be just “Trying To Speak To You”, to Repent.
An Excessive Desire For Pleasure is “Not From God”.
God would have us to think about death; for to think about death, “Guides Us To Right Living Today”. To Think about Pleasure, guides us to consider worldly solutions toward fulfilling our desire for pleasure. It is not about others nor God.
The Pursuit of Pleasure “Choke People” from “Living Their Purpose”. We cannot Live for Self and Live for Jesus! To try, makes us hypocrites. God has all eternity to make our efforts at “Right Living” “Well Worth It”. Die to self today!
Who or What are you Living For; Jesus or Self?
