Self Righteousness is “A Deception of Satan”.


“But Now” apart from the law the “Righteousness of God” has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.  This “Righteousness”  is given “Through Faith” in Jesus Christ to all who Believe.  There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for “all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God”, and all are “Justified ‘Freely’ by His Grace” through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.  (Romans 3:21-24)


There is “None Righteous”, but Jesus, we have “His Righteousness”.


Our Daily Nugget

is Paul letting us know that the “Only Righteousness” that is Right and able to Save is the Righteousness that Jesus has chosen to “Share With Us”.  We obtain this Righteousness “Only Through Faith in Jesus”.  No amount of “our effort” can deliver this Righteousness to us.  


Righteousness - Means to be in a “Right Standing” with God, which involves both a “moral state of purity” and “a life of ‘right’ conduct that confirms to divine standards”.


The Spirit of Self Righteousness is from Satan.

Self Righteousness is not Righteousness at all, “It’s Wrong, Not Right”.


God has told us that “On our own we could do No Good Thing”; Pride tells us that ”We can do things on our own”.  This effort at Righteousness can never “Bear Fruit”, but only disappointment, destruction and death; for us and for our households.


We, Kingdom Citizens, “Must Humble” ourselves under God’s Mighty Hand, for He Has Promised To “Lift us Up” when we Humble ourselves.  A humbled heart/mind “Always” has God’s Full Attention and we have God’s Mighty Hand as our “Protection” from all wickedness and evil.


Wisdom says, “Never Attempt to Steal From God”; He sees and knows everything, and He Has All Power to punish thieves and to Lift Up the Humbled Heart/Mind. 


Self-Righteousness is our attempt to “Steal God’s Glory”.
