The Worship that God Wants.

Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.  The “Worship” that God wants is this: Caring for the orphans or widows who need help and Keeping yourself free from the world’s evil influence.  (James 1:26 & 27)

How do you go about Worshipping the Lord God?

Our Daily Nugget

is letting us know that “if we do not control our tongue” that we are deceiving ourselves and that our religion is worthless.  It is also letting us know what God considers as “Worship”.  We are not controlling our tongue, when we are “Quick to Speak”.  Actually it is sin, God says, “be slow to speak and quick to listen”.

Religion - A “belief” in the being and perfections of God, in the revelation of His Will to man.

 

Worship - The entire person’s “Reverential Response” to God for who He is and what He has done, encompassing

                  both external acts and internal devotion.

We Worship God, When We Love Our Neighbor, As Ourselves.

In our Christian society today, we consider it worship when we meet at a building that we call a Church Building, normally on a Sunday.  We sing, pray, fellowship, give money, pay tithes, and go home.  This is a Religious Service; nothing wrong with that, but its not Worship, according to the Bible.

Our Daily Nugget is letting us know that God Considers It Worship when we “Fill The Needs of Our Neighbors”; “This is How We Love”.  All of Heaven “Rejoice” when we Worship God this way, through Loving others.  Love is “Doing” for one another.  Meeting each others “Needs”; we meet no ones needs but our own, at a Worship Service.  Religion is Not Worship.
