Vanity.
Vanity.
The Destiny of “Vanity”.
The words of the Teacher, son of David, King in Jerusalem: “Meaningless (Vanity)! Meaningless (Vanity)” says the Teacher. Utterly Meaningless, (Vanity)! Everything is Meaningless (Vanity). What do people gain from all their labors at which they toil under the sun? (Ecclesiastes 1:1-3)
Vanity of Vanities, “All Is Vanity”.
Our Daily Nugget
is Solomon, the Wisest man to have ever lived, is telling us that “All” our worldly pursuits are “Meaningless, Empty, Worthless,” “Apart from God”. If God’s Word, the Bible, is not at the forefront of “All Our Efforts”, that “All Our Efforts Are Worthless, Vain, Empty”. The world has taught us to consider our worldly efforts as “Of Upmost Importance”, even though we do not consider God in them.
Solomon is telling us that
“Apart From God”, All Our Worldly Efforts Are Useless, Meaningless, Vanity.
The Bottom Line to Living for God is:
“Only what we do for Christ will last, and be counted in the End”.
The things we do for self will not be counted in the End, because it is Vanity.
Vanity - Means emptiness, futility, meaninglessness, or a mere breath/vapor, pointing to life’s transience or lack of lasting substance “Apart From God”, but can also mean excessive pride or self-centeredness, including “idolatry” (the worship of false gods).
To Love the World, “Is To Flirt With Vanity”; “You’ll Be Sucked In”!
Loving the world is “allowing the devil to ‘ride’ with us”. If we let the devil “ride” with us, “He’ll Want To Drive Us”. The devil driving in our heart/mind will always take us to places we do not want, nor need, to be. The devil rides with us in our “Thinking, our Heart/Mind”. We control “What” we Think, then, “What we Think Controls Us”.
Living a Life of Vanity is Living a Wasted Life.
Make God the “Center” of your Thinking and Bring Salvation to your Household.
