Can you count your “material wealth” as “Dung”?


Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of “Knowing” Christ Jesus my Lord.  For His sake I have suffered the loss of all things and “count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be “found in Him”, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through Faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that “Depends on Faith”-that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like Him in death.  (Philippians 3:8-10)


   Only “after” we can count our “material wealth” as Dung, 

“Can We ‘Truly’ Live For Christ”.


Our Daily Nugget

is Paul letting the Philippians and us know that our material wealth has “No Value” to us, nor is our righteousness, right at all, when we compare our wealth and righteousness to the Value and Righteousness we obtain from Christ, Due To Faith.


The Bible says, 

“Our Best Efforts Are Like Filthy Rags” in God’s Sight.


The better we “Know Christ”, the More we can Count our worldly possession and our righteousness as “Dung”.  The better we know Christ, the better we understand that “we deserve death” and not life; no matter how right we think we are.  


God is not commanding us to go sell all we have and give the money to the poor; but, He is saying that we should “all be ready to sell it and give the money to the poor”, “if commanded to”.  If we Love money we would never sell all we have and give it to the poor; if we feel that our right living is our righteousness, then we do not need the Righteousness that comes from Faith in Christ.


Faith in Christ is “all we need” to Live Our Purpose.  With this Faith, deeply rooted in our Spirit, our Heart/Mind, “We Will Be Able to Do All Things Through Christ”.  We will know when we got it right because we will “Live By Faith” and “Not By Sight”; then, nothing is important like it use to be. Dung is a “waste product” that no one wants around them.  


   Our material possessions are “not dung”; but compared to knowing Christ; material possession are not important at all.


Can you count your material possessions, and your righteousness; “As Dung”?  

The correct answer is “Yes”!
