Honor.
Honor.
A Good Name.
A “Good Name” is better than precious ointment, and the “Day of Death” than the “Day of One’s Birth”.
(Ecclesiastes 7:1)
We must Give Honor and Be Honorable!
A Wise person “Thinks” about Death; a Fool “Thinks” about Being Happy.
Our Daily Nugget
is “Power Packed”; “With a Few Words”.
According to our Daily Nugget we really have life turned around here. In our society we “moan and groan” and be sad at a person’s death, and rejoice and be happy at a person birth. We do it based on “tradition”, not the Bible, Christianity.
A Good Name - It represents the “esteem and honor” that an individual holds in the eyes of others, often reflecting one’s character, integrity, and moral standing. A Good name signifies a “Good Reputation That Is Deserved”, not his bank balance. This name is better than the precious ointment applied to the outer person.
Honor - Giving high esteem, value, respect, and “Reverence to God” and by extension, to certain people (parents, leaders, elderly). It is a “Command” requiring action-not just attitude-to “Treat Others with Dignity and Recognize their Position or Worth”.
If we Love Money,
“we will not Live Honorably” nor “will we have a Good Name”.
The Demons of greed, lying, cheating, stealing, killing, bearing false witness, pointing of the finger, etc.; “Will Never Allow It’s Host to Live Honorably”; therefore, the “demon’s host” will always be a “Dishonorable Person”.
Honor and dishonor are “contagious”. Birds of a feather do indeed “flock together”. The Bible says, All the Officials of a Lying Ruler will be Wicked. Liars listen to lies, honest people listen to honest people, thieves listens to thieves, etc. Our living follows our Thinking. Honorable People “Love Their Neighbors As They Love Themselves”. Dishonorable People do not Love Anybody, including Themselves and their households.
“Thinking about Death”
