Who are you Imitating?
“Follow God’s Example”, therefore, as “dearly loved children” and “walk in the way of love”, “just as Christ loved us and gave himself for us” as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:1)
In our Fallen Self we can only Imitate Satan;
in our New Creature, Kingdom Citizen Self; we Imitate Christ and God.
Our Daily Nugget
is Paul telling the Ephesians and us that we are to Imitate Christ by “Walking, in The Way of Love”. Christ “died to himself first”, “THEN”, He was able to Walk In The Way of Love. We must die to “self first”, “THEN”, We will be able to Walk in Love. “To Walk In Love is Victory”!
Imitate - Take or follow as a model.
Jesus is the example of what this “Imitation” look like; In The Bible”.
The main message of Ephesians 5 is for “Believer’s, Christians, Kingdom Citizens to “Imitate God” by walking in love, light, and wisdom, rejecting darkness and immorality, and applying these principles to “relationships”, especially marriage, where husbands are called to sacrificial love (like Christ) and wives to submission (like the Church), illustrating the profound union between Christ and the Church. It emphasizes “living righteously” and “reflecting Christ’s selfless love in daily life and marriage.
To say, I Believe, is to “make a statement”.
To Believe, “Is To Imitate Christ”; “It Shows in What We Do For Others”.
Walk In The Way Of Love! To “Walk in the Way of Love” is a New Lifestyle that “Imitates Jesus” Love for people. Jesus’ Love is not a Feeling, it is a Doing, meeting the needs of others. Until our “love” goes from a Feeling to Doing, its not really love, but a feeling. Feelings are not Love, Doing is Love.
What we are to Imitate is found in the Bible;
it’s not found in Religions nor in Traditions. What have you Done for Jesus Lately?
If we cannot answer that question, it just might be because we have been
“Imitating Satan and we have not been Imitating Jesus”.
