Modesty.

                                                                              Modesty.

Has Modesty Left the United States?

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.  Rather, it should be that of your “inner self”, the “unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit”, which is of great worth in God’s sight.  (1 Peter 3:3-4)

Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labor that I had labored to do: and, behold, “all is vanity” and vexation of spirit, and there is no profit under the sun.  (Ecclesiastes 2:11)

When Modesty Leaves a People, Vanity Comes.

Modesty and Vanity are both Contagious.  Modest is what we were before “The Fall”,

Vanity is our Natural State.  Modesty is due to Humility, Vanity is due to Excessive Pride; then the Fall!

Modesty - A heart (mind) posture of humility and reverence for God that influences outward behavior, appearance, and speech.  Rather than just avoiding pride, excessive self-display, or lavish indulgence, encouraging instead to “focus” on godliness, respectability, and respect for others.

Vanity - It denotes futility, worthlessness, or the emptiness of pursuing earthly pleasures rather than “Focusing on God”.  It also implies excessive pride, arrogance, or self absorption.   A Contented Spirit cannot be filled with Vanity.

To live with a Modest Heart/Mind is evidence that we are hearing and obeying the Holy Spirit.  To live with a Heart/Mind of Vanity is evidence that we are hearing and obeying the Demonic Spirit; this will lead to Pride, it comes before the Fall. Rather we are Modest or Vain, Starts between our ears through, “What We Think”.

If we are modest, we will teach our children and influence those around us to be modest.  If we are filled with vanity, we will teach our children and influence those around us to be filled with vanity.  The Lord will hold us responsible for what we teach our children and what we influence others to do or to be.

A woman said, Leggings are not Pants!

“Vanity” Cannot Exist in a Heart/Mind that is “Modest”.

We Chose to Be Modest or Vain!  Bless yourself and your household, Be Modest!
