Oaths.

                                                                                 Oaths.

Kingdom Citizens are Not to Make Oaths.

Again, you have heard that it was said to an older generation, “Do Not Break An Oath” but fulfill your vows to the Lord.  But I say to you, “Do Not Make Oaths At All”-not by heaven, because it is the throne of God, not by earth, because it is his footstool, and not by Jerusalem, because it is the city of the great King.  Do not make an oath by your head, because you are not able to make one hair white or black.  Let your word be “Yes, yes, or No, no”.  More than this is from the evil one.  (Matthew 5:33-37)

Oaths are Not Needed for People who “Speak the Truth in Love”.

An Oath - Is a solemn appeal to God as a witness and guarantor of the truth of a statement or the binding nature of a promise.

Evil - Anything contrary to God’s character, will, or commands, encompassing both moral and wickedness (sin) and the resulting harm, suffering, or calamity.  Treating people in a way that you would not want people to treat you.

Our Daily Nugget

is saying to us that, in the past people used “Oaths” to confirm covenants, ensure legal testimony, or pledge loyalty.  Kingdom Citizens has a “New Nature” which guides us to be honest and speak the truth, always. An oath is needed for people who are not trustworthy.  If I feel I need to make an Oath to you, concerning what I just pledged to you, “it is highly likely, because I am a Liar and a Deceiver”; I don’t trust me and neither should you trust me.

Jesus never made an Oath;

He said Yes and No, when He Meant Them.

The Bible says that anything we add to our “Yes, yes, or No, no” is evil.  How and Why is this so?  To answer that question, one must know what evil is; one must be wicked, before they can be evil.  It is wicked Thinking that thinks up Evil things to do.  Evil is the Action Arm of Wicked Thinking.  Anything we say, after say Yes or No, “Is Evil”.  Pray that God will lead you to understand this, “Its A Very Important Point To Get Totally” and to “Live It”.

The Pure In Heart/Mind,

“Does Not Need An Oath” added to their Words; the Wicked and Evil does!
