Rubbish.
Rubbish.
Trash to Treasure!
Yes, now that I know Christ Jesus as my Lord, that is the most valuable thing. “Nothing Else Is Important At All”. I have thrown everything else away, so that I can serve Christ. All those other things are like Rubbish to me. I think about them like that, so that I can have Christ. (Philippians 3:8)
“Knowing Christ” and “Knowing of Christ”
are two totally different things and “Kinds of Knowledge”. All people probably know of Christ, but, most people do not “Know Christ”. To “Know Christ” is to “count all things as rubbish” compared to the “Gain From Knowing Christ”. To “Know Of Christ” is to consider things as valuable based on the world’s standards.
Our Daily Nugget
is saying to us that “worldly gains are considered
trash, rubbish”, in comparison to the “Righteousness Found Through Faith”.
Paul is explaining to the Philippians and to us that “no one” should have had more confidence in the flesh and the things of this world, than he, for he gloried in them and surpassed everyone else in his efforts to attain worldly achievements.
Now that he know the value and power in and from “Knowing Christ” that, “all those things that he had valued”, that he now count those things as “rubbish” compared to “Knowing Christ”. To Know Christ is to Be One With Him”, when we are One With Christ, we will be able to do “All Things Through Christ”, just like Paul was able to do All Things Through Christ.
Paul’s Religion, the Rubbish, made him blind to the Light Of Knowing Christ!
Paul was at the Top of His Class in his religion, but at the Bottom of his Class in Knowing Christ and Living for Christ. This attitude led Paul to Crucify Christ through crucifying and killing Believers, Christians. Striving for achievements in Religion through a means “Other Than Love” is evidence that we Love Our Rubbish, the world”, over Knowing Christ.
When we Know Christ we will
“Love the Lord with all our heart/mind and soul; and we will Love our Neighbor “as we love ourself”.
Do you Know Him or Just Know of Him?
We Cannot Have Christ and Have the Rubbish!
