The Cover Up.

                                                                          The Cover Up.

Demonic Spirits are Very Creative.

So Joab sent Uriah to David.  When Uriah came, David asked him how Joab was, how the soldiers were, and how the war was going.  Then David said to Uriah, “Go home and relax”.  So Uriah left the king’s palace.  The king also sent a gift to Uriah.  (2 Samuel 11:6-8)

The Lord did not like what David had done!

Committing adultery was sin, and the Cover Up was Worst Than The Sin.

Our Daily Nugget

is letting us know that “David’s Cover Up” “Was Worst Than His Sin”.  I think David would say Amen.  We all can probably relate to trying to Cover Up our sin.  But know that “There Is No Such Thing As A Secret”.  God knows everything!

Adultery or Murder; which is worse?

David’s decision to “commit adultery” and his decision to “commit murder”, both began in his Heart/Mind, his Thinking Process.  No one can “change the past”, but we all can “Repent of Past Sins”.  To attempt to cover up sin is extremely infantile.   It was a demonic spirit that led David to commit adultery, it was also a demonic spirit that led David to attempt to cover up his sin by committing murder.

What we do “to or for” others will be done back unto us, multiplied.

David further implicated himself; Nathan, the prophet, gave him a scenario where a rich man who had much livestock and a man who had only one lamb.  A traveler came by and the rich man wanted to feed him, but instead of taking one of his livestock; he took the one lamb that the poor man had and served it to the traveler.

David became very angry with the rich man.  He said to Nathan, As the Lord lives, the man who did this should die!  He must pay four times the price of the lamb because he did this terrible thing and because he had no mercy.

(2 Samuel 12:5-6)

David should have offered Mercy and Not Punishment.

God says to us, Repent and Be Saved; not to Be Saved through a Slick Spirit!
