After Being Forgiven.
After Being Forgiven.
We Must Leave The Old Life of Sin.
Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir.” Then neither do I condemn you, Jesus declared. Go now and “Leave your life of sin”. (John 8:10-11)
After Forgiveness, The New Life is Revealed; “if Repentance has Occurred.”
Our Daily Nugget
is Jesus letting us know that if we say, we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savor and “Go Back” to a Life of Sin; that we are like a “dog vomit”, it throws bad stuff out of his stomach and goes back to that vomit to consume it again. It’s like a pig that has been washed of the mud and after it is cleaned, it goes straight to the mud again, wallowing in it.
Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit”, and a sow that is washed returns to its wallowing in the mud. (2 Peter 2:22)
If the heart/mind is not changed, the one who confesses Christ as Lord and Savor, “Will Return To A Life of Sin”.
A Life of Love and a Life of Sin, cannot dwell in a Heart/Mind that refuses to leave their life of sin. One might say, nobody can live without sinning. Leaving a “life of sin” and “to never ever commit another sinful act” are two different things. Living a Life of sin is to “Plan To Commit Sin Over and Over Again”.
To commit a sinful act and to truly be sorrowful and to try to never commit that sinful act again, is not the same. God is not mocked, He knows when we want to “Live Holy” and when we do not want to “Live Holy”. Just remember, we all will reap what we sow. God knows today, what we will think and do in our tomorrows.
A Spirit of “Sincerity and Truth”
are required for Forgiveness and a Repentant Heart/Mind.
To be Forgiven is to Be Saved From The “Penalty of Sin”; to Live Holy is to Be Saved from the “Power of Sin”; when we are with Jesus, we will be Saved from the “Presence of Sin”.
After Being Forgiven,
Prepare to Look Like Jesus. The World is Waiting on us to Look Like Jesus.
