Gentile?

                                                                                Gentle?

Being Gentle is not Being a Wimp.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, “Gentleness” and self-control.  Against such things there is no law.  (Gentleness 5:22-23)

And Jesus went into the Temple of God (The Church), and (made a whip) and cast out all those who sold and bought in the temple (they were cheating the people), and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who sold doves, and said unto them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called the House of Prayer,’ but ye have turned it into a Den of Thieves.”  (Matthew 21:12-13)

Jesus made a whip and whipped them out of the Church.

Gentle - “Strength Under Control”.  It is the courageous and humble choice to restrain your power, treat others with tender compassion, and rely on God rather than asserting your own will.

Our Daily Nugget

is informing that Jesus was Gentle, but, He Was Not Weak.  In our society, often we equate being Gentle with being Weak.  They are not the same.  Jesus’ zeal for the Sanctity and the Holiness of His Father House turned him into what we would describe as a “wild man”.

Just imagine a man, going to a Church event and becoming so outraged at how little respect people have for God and a blatant show of how much they “Loved Money”; and this man made a whip and started shouting loudly, and turning over all the tables and driving the people out of the Church, saying; This is My Father’s House” and “You Have Turned It Into A Den of Thieves”.

We Would Not Call this man, Gentle;

we’d probably call him Crazy and call the police.

Our Daily Nugget is showing us how we, Kingdom Citizens, should attack greed, the use of unequal weights and unequal measures, lying, cheating and stealing, that goes on in the Church.  People should expect Godliness in God’s House, even when we do not find or see it anywhere else on earth.

Be Outraged at Cheating, Stealing and Ungodliness, at least; in God’s House; the way Jesus did in the Bible;

and Watch What Happens.
