Inquire of The Lord.

                                                                  Inquire of The Lord.

To Inquire or To Inquire Not; Of The Lord.

So David “inquired” of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue this troop?  Shall I overtake them?  And He answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.  (1 Samuel 30:8)

I will stretch out my hand against Judah and against all who live in Jerusalem.  I will destroy every remnant of Baal worship in this place, the very names of the “idolatrous priests”- those who bow down on the roofs to worship the starry host (worship of stars) those who bow down and swear by the Lord and who also swear by Molek, those who turn back from following the Lord and “Neither Seek the Lord nor Inquire of Him”.  (Zephaniah 1:6)

Faith leads us to Inquire, Pride says, no need to Inquire.

To Inquire Leads to Blessings, to not Inquire leads to Destruction.

God is Pleased when Inquire and He is Displeased when we don’t Inquire.

Ponder as to, why you Inquire of the Lord and why you Don’t Inquire of the Lord.

Baal Worship - Represents the worship of false gods, characterized as the ultimate betrayal of the Lord.

(To Love Money is to Worship Baal).

Inquiring of The Lord - The most common usage in the Old Testament is representing a “deliberate effort” by leaders and individuals to “seek” God’s counsel before making major decisions.

“We don’t know, what we don’t know”.

Therefore, We Should Inquire, Seek Direction From the Lord.

Solomon advises us to “never think of ourselves more highly than we ought”, but to simply “Trust the Lord and refuse to do wrong”.  Wanting to “look smart” to people is part of our fallen nature.  Humility toward and Dependence on The Lord is part of our New Creature Nature; for “The Old Things ‘Have’ Past Away”.

We do not learn so that we can look smart, as this is Pride; we learn so that “We Can Know What is Right and What is Wrong” and that “we know what to do”.

Never Try To Figure It Out!

Simply, Trust the Lord, Refuse to Do Wrong, Inquire of the Lord; and

Watch Victory Happen.
