Jealousy and Insincere Words, “Feed on One Another”.


Jesus’ brothers said to him, Leave Galilee and go to Judea, “so that your disciples there may see the works that you do”.  No one who wants to be a “public figure” acts in secret.  Since your are “Doing These Thing”, “Show Yourself to the World”.  For even his own brothers did not believe in Him.  (John 7:3-5)


Being Jealous and Resorting to using Insincere Words are evidence that, 

that Heart/Mind is Being Led by a Demonic Spirit.


Our Daily Nugget

is Jesus’ brothers allowing there jealousy of Jesus’ fame and popularity to ooze out of them by using insincere words.  Jesus had just fed over five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two small fish.  Jesus had just walked on water.  Jesus claimed to be the Bread of Life.  Healed the woman at the pool.  Jesus said that he was acting in Authority as the Son of God.  Jesus healed an official’s son.


How would you Act or React to your brother, if he had done these things? 


Jealousy - Both God and man can be jealous.  A “sinful human emotion” driven by selfish desire and discontentment, and a “righteous divine attribute” describing God’s protective, passionate commitment to His Covenant People.


Insincerity -  A split between “outward show and inner truth”.  It is when a person “acts good”, prays, or speaks with holy words, “But holds a hidden, false, or selfish heart/mind”.  The Bible views this as a form of “deceit or hypocrisy”.


A Repented Heart/Mind 

“Is The Way Out” of a “Jealous and Insincere Spirit”.


A jealous and an insincere heart/mind “Cannot Lead to Life”, but, “Only to Death”.  Many of the problems in our lives today, are the Fruit of our Jealousy and Insincerity in our yesterdays.  Jesus’ brothers were mad at Him because He was popular and they were not.  The Word, the Bible, instructs us to “build up one another”; the Spirit of Jealousy will not allow it’s host to Think Like That. Jesus knew their “heart/mind”, even though they tried to appear sincere in their words.


Rejoice at One Another’s Work for the Lord, and 

Watch What God Does for you.

Come.

                                                                                  Come. The Spirit and the Bride says, “Come”. The Spirit and the bride say, “Come”!   And let the one who “Hears” Come!   Let the one who is “Thirsty” Come”; and let the one who “Wishes” take the free gift of the water or life.   (Revelation 22:17) This is a “Call” for all to “accept the gift of eternal life offered through Christ!
