Spirit of Gratitude!

                                                                 Spirit of Gratitude!

“Be Thankful” – “For What You Got”!

Our service to God,

should spring from  “Spirit of Gratitude” for the grace we have received.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with “thanksgiving” let your request be made known to God.”  (Philippians 4:6)

As he (Jesus) was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him.  They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”  When he saw them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priest.”  And as they went, they were cleaned.  One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.  He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and “Thanked Him”-“and he was a Samaritan”.  (Luke 17:12-15)

Gratitude – The quality of “Being Thankful”; readiness to “show appreciation for

                   and to return kindness”.

Naked we came into this world and naked we are going out; “Be Thankful”!

Everything above our nakedness is reason to be Thankful.

All of us “got”, more than we “had”.

To be Thankful or not to be Thankful is due to what is happening in our

“Thinking Process”, our “Heart/Mind”.

What have we filled it with?

Our Daily Nugget is showing us two aspects of Being Thankful.

1.    Anxious – Uneasy feeling of uncertainty, agitation, dread, or fear.

Often anxiety detracts us from a heart/mind of thanks.

There is no fear, nor anxiety in “love”.

2.   Say Thank You – This is normally taught to us by our parents when we are children.  Go say Thank You.  Why would someone not “think” to “thank” someone?

Answer – Lack of Gratitude!

A “selfish spirit” will lead us to be “Ungrateful”, “Unthankful”!

Our obedience and service to God,

should “Spring from a Spirit of Gratitude” for the Grace we have received!

When we do a good deed for someone and they say, Thank You; oh, I am so very appreciative for what you have done for me, you have helped me greatly. What does that do for you and “what does it make you desire to do for them the next time they have a need?

When we do a good deed for someone and they do not say Thank You, nor do they show any appreciation at all for what you have done for them.  What does that do for you and “what does it make you desire to do for them the next they have a need?

We are made in the “image” of God.

We know how we respond to a Thankful Spirit and to an Unthankful Spirit.

There is Great Wisdom in allowing

The Spirit of Gratitude to lead us to say, Thank You.

Ask God to Bless you with

“A Spirit of Gratitude” that leads you to say, Thank You”,

And Watch What Happens!
