All Money is not Good Money; some Money is Detestable!

 

The graven images of their gods you are to burn with fire; you shall not covet (desire) the silver and gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, or you will be “snared” by it, for it is an “abomination” (detestable) to the Lord your God.  You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and “like it” come under the “ban”, you shall utterly “abhor it”, for it is something “banned”.  (Deuteronomy 7:25&26)

 

For one to embrace what God detest is “Great Foolishness”!

That which is “Detested” by God, will be a “Snare” for the “Posser of It”!

Wisdom says, detest (Hate) what God detest (hate) and embrace (love) what God embraces.  This is wisdom and leads to life abundantly.  This is Fear of the Lord.

 

Detestable – Arousing or meriting intense dislike.  Abominable. 

 

Our Daily Nugget

is God giving the Israelites “instruction” on how to treat the  silver and gold that covered the graven images of the gods of the people whose land that were to possess.  Gold is gold, it is not good nor bad.  This gold has been rejected and cursed by God because it had been used for demonic purposes, to the worship of a false God.

 

The message to us today is Money obtained through “scandalous and deceptive” means will be a “snare” to the scandalous and deceptive person and their households, even down through the generations.  Returning “Good” with “evil” to make financial gain brings a curse with it from God. This method of gain is detested by God.

 

One of the Israelite women took one of the gold items that God said to destroy and hid it in her tent. God cursed the nation and God led them to the item.  They got the item, destroyed it, the curses stopped, and the blessings continued.  God saw the woman take and hide the gold item; God see us when we think up wicked and evil  ideas to gain unjustly, and He punishes us unless we confess and repent.

 

The person who obtains Money through honest work is “Blessed”.

The person who obtains Money through deception and theft is “Cursed by God”.

 

Ask God to Bless you with the Wisdom to Understand that

All Money is Not Good Money with Its Curses,

“We Cannot Get to Right; by Going Wrong”,

And Watch What Happens!
