Your “soul” for the “whole world”, “Deal or No Deal”!

 

For what shall it “profit” a man if he gains the whole world, and lose his own soul?   Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?   (Mark 8:36 & 37)

 

Is It “Worth” It?

The “desires” of our heart/mind will guide our “choice”!

Only what we do for Christ will “last” and be “counted in the end”!

 

Profit – A “gain” over the “cost”!

Soul – That “eternal” part of man and woman that lives forever.

World – The “material”, “temporary,” things in life. 

 

Our Daily Nugget ask us two questions:

1.    What is the “profit” if a man gains the whole world and lose his soul?

2.    What shall a man give in “exchange” for his soul?

 

During each day, we must make choices concerning what we will do and what we will not do; do we go to the left or to the right, do we say yes to this or no to this?  Consider this in your decision making, “the Soul” will live throughout eternity, either in Heaven with God or in Hell with Satan, the worldly things will be gone.

 

Our Daily Nugget is letting us know that our actions and our inactions are like seeds planted in life that produces fruit of its kind.  When we chose to obey the world over the Word this choice will produce a loss, for we have sold our soul for the world.  The decision to “obey” the Word, will produce a profit for us which will be a benefit for our soul and our household.

 

Remember that this world is not our home.  One day we all will “depart” from this earth and all “this world’s stuff” will be “totally unimportant” to us.  The people of Noah’s time sold their soul for the world.  The people were too busy enjoying sin for a season to pay attention to what God said.  When the flood came, the worldly stuff was gone, now they were concerned about God’s things, but it was “too late”; they had “sold their soul for the world”.  No one can change history or undo the past.  This is the day, now is the hour, to do the “Right Math” for your soul, by choosing the Word over the World.  Produce a good “Profit and Loss Statement”, choose life.
