Tradition nor Religion are “The Word”!

 

Jesus replied, and why do you break the “Command of God” for the sake of your tradition?  They are not to honor their father or mother with it.  Thus, you nullify The Word of God (The Bible) for the sake of your “Tradition”.  You hypocrites!  Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:  These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts (minds) are far from me.  They “worship me in vain”; their teachings are merely human rules.  (Matthew 15:2,6-9)

 

Vain Worship is not honored by God.

Hooked On Tradition and Religion or The Bible, The Word? 

There is No Salvation in tradition nor in religion.  They “Must Not” come first!

 

Tradition – The transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation,  

                   or the fact of being passed on in this way. 

                   A doctrine believed to have divine authority though “Not in the     

                   Scriptures”.

 

Tradition in religion is a wonderful thing “when” it has a firm basis in the Truth of God’s Word (The Bible), but it becomes a deceitful and corrupting influence when its foundations are in the “shifting sands” of “human thought”.  (Anonymous) 

 

Our Daily Nugget

is telling us that the man-made rules, we call tradition and religion, without The Word, the Bible, leading the way ahead of tradition and religion, leads us to “Vain Worship”.  Vain Worship occurs when the man-made rules take precedent over our “living”, replacing the Bible having precedent over our “living”. This is what qualifies us as hypocrites.  “Hypocrites run people away from Jesus”.

 

Through lack of “Knowledge” of God’s Word, the Bible, we will “default” to man-made rules and regulations; traditions, and religions.  Always remind yourselves of this fact, traditions and religions are not from God, they are from man.  To obey them and not obey the Bible is “Displeasing to God” and He disciplines us greatly when we commit this sin.


Ask God to Bless You To Keep 

His Word Ahead of your Religions and Traditions and Watch What Happens.
