                                                                    The Two Lords.

 

Jesus and Husbands are “Lords”.

 

Yet “for us” there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, “Jesus Christ”, through whom all things came and through whom we live.  (1 Corinthians 8:6)

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the Church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the Church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.  (Ephesians 5:22-24)

 

Jesus is Lord of all!

God Designed “His World”, He “Does Not Allow” Us To Change It.

Husbands are the Lord of their wives, Sarah called Abraham “Her Lord”.

 

Lord means Master.  Our fallen natural causes us to desire to be our “Own Lord and Master”; Jesus does not permit this.  God never called a committee; He always called a man.  Two people can ride a horse but only one person can stir the horse.  If both people try to stir the horse, they both will get bucked off.  Look at the amount of division and divorce in the family.  God doesn’t make things with two heads.  Anything with two heads is a freak; freaks cannot function correctly.

 

We cannot Change God’s Order, however, we can live in disobedience and rebellion to God’s Order.  The Bible says, rebellion is as witchcraft, witchcraft is the “Worshipping of False gods”.  If we do not like God’s Order and refuse to submit, we should pray to God to fix our heart/mind that we would “submit” to His Order.  

 

To submit is strength not weakness.  “When we Submit” the Power of the Holy Spirit takes over and we are positioned to do All Things through Jesus the Christ who strengthens us.  Humility and Trust are required to rejoice and to live in God’s Order.

 

The more we submit to our Lord Jesus, the more care and protection He provides for us.  In the same way, the more a wife submits to her Lord, her husband, the more care and protection her husband will provide for her.  Now, the children will see this submission and it will guide their actions when they get married.  If you refuse to submit to a husband as your Lord, stay single.

 

We teach our children “What” we are.  If we are living in rebellion to God, we are “teaching our children” to live in rebellion to God; “God Don’t Like That”.
