The Fruit of "Giving".
The Fruit of “Giving”.
Giving to The Lord First, “Blesses the Fruit”.
And Elijah said to her, “Do not Fear”; go and do as you have said, “but make me a small cake from it first”, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. (1 Kings 17:13)
The less we have when we give, “The Greater the Fruit”.
When we Love the World, we will never have enough to give.
There is a song that says, “You Can’t Beat God Giving; No Matter How You Try”! The Bible says, that “It is better to Give than to Receive”; Knowing this fact and not doing this fact will not bear fruit. Knowing this fact and doing, living, this fact will produce all kinds of good fruit in our lives. God will meet our needs.
Pray for a “Giving Spirit”.
One of the wisest things we can do is “To Give”. When we give the Spirit World is aware and respond; what we give is given back to us multiplied, pressed down, running over, shaken together. Our Daily Nugget is the essence of this Truth. Elijah was a great prophet that God used. The her in our Daily Nugget is a poor widow woman with a son, not enough meal for the two of them, for one dinner.
Their was a famine in the land. Elijah asked her to prepare some food for him, she said I only have this little meal and I was going to prepare this for me and my son and then we are going to die. Elijah told her to prepare a small cake from it for him “First” and bring it to him; she did, “God caused the meal to never run out”.
When we Give the First to God look at what Happens to the Rest!
If the “First Piece” of bread is given to God, then the whole loaf is His also; and if the roots of a tree are offered to God, the branches are His also. (Romans 11:16)
To be Willing to give our first and/or our last to the Lord is “Exercising Our Faith”. God has committed Himself to our care when we “Exercise Our Faith”. To live by Sight will not allow us to give the first or the last to the Lord. To Live by Faith allows us to give the first and or the last and not be afraid of being without.
