Avoid being an Idolater, “Keep The Charge”.


But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.  Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.  For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-“Such A Person Is An Idolater”-has any inheritance in the Kingdom of God.  “Let no one deceive you with empty words”, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.  Therefore do not partner with them.  (Ephesians 5:3-7)


Kingdom Citizens are In The World but not Of The World!


Our Daily Nugget

is Paul reminding us that “Christians Must Live Differently From The World”.  Paul is also letting us know that if we do not Keep The Charge that God will classify us as an “Idolater”.  Being is Idolater or not is based on what we “Think and Do”, not on “How We Feel About What We Think” or do.


Idolatry is the Worship of False gods, it brings “God’s Wrath”.


Be wise examine yourselves to make sure that you are not an idolater.  Many of the characteristics mentioned in our Daily Nugget are “Common Characteristics of our Society”; they are characteristics of the Old Creature.  To accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior classify us as a New Creature.  The Bible informs us that some lied when they said “they believe”.  Did you lie, or did you tell the truth when you said that “you believe”?  Do Not Be Deceived, Look to your Love Life for the answer. 


Beware, “Not To Be Like The World”!  Do you have God or a god?


New Creatures are “Holy People” and “Cannot Live Like Unholy People, “It’s Improper”.  It is Critical that we are reminding ourselves of this fact and to Focus on this fact “Throughout Each Day”.  


                                                                       Our Living Follows Our Focus!

To Live “Unholy” is to Live Like an “Unsaved Person”.


God has given us “A Charge To Keep”; 

“Keep It” and Watch The Blessings to You and to Your Household.
