That Day.

                                                                            That Day.

Prepare for That Day, Today; Repent.

Even the bravest warriors will flee on “That Day”, declares the Lord.  (Amos 2:18)

We run from our sins until “That Day”; When Payment is Due.

Our Daily Nugget

is the Prophet Amos, letting us know That Pay Day is coming.  God is slow to punish us because He is giving us time and opportunity to repent of our sins and of our wrong doing.  If we are enjoying Sin and Wrongdoing today, just remember that “That Day” is coming.  There is a “That Day” for all sin and for all obedience.

That Day - When God says, Enough is Enough, and God tells us our payment for our sins and wrongdoing, are due.

I heard a man say,

you might think you’re slick, but, you could stand some greasing.

In the Book of Amos, all of the first two chapters are Amos telling the people how God was going to punish them for their sins and wrongdoing.  Jesus has saved us from the Penalty of Sin, from the Power of Sin, and eventually He will save us from the Presence of Sin.  God help the person who believes that “now, we can go sin as much as we like”, because Jesus died for “all our sins”.

The Bible says, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins,

“if we purposely go on sinning after we have been exposed to the Truth”.

God is not mocked, we all will receive what we deserve, based on our planting.

To plant in obedience and righteousness we reap life and life more abundantly, we and our household.  To plant in disobedience and sin we reap agony, pain, and death, for us and for our household.  God has given us the ability and the opportunity to look like Jesus, and to live for Jesus.  The world is waiting on us.

Amos is saying to us that,

“no one makes a fool out of God”,

“we all will get what we deserve”, on That Day.
