Why Can’t We Stand?

 

The Lord said to Joshua, “Stand Up”!  What are you doing down on your face?  Israel has sinned; “they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep”.  They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions.  “That” is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made “liable for destruction”.  I will not be “with you” anymore “unless” “you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction”. (Joshua 7:10-12)

 

Sin Makes Us “Coward Down” To Our Enemies.

Sin Makes Us and Our Households “Liable For Destruction”.

 

One of the greatest blessings we can have, is to be surrounded by people who walk, live, in obedience to God’s Word, the Bible.  One of the greatest curses we can have is to be surrounded by people who steal, lie, walk, live, in disobedience to God’s Word, the Bible.  Our obedience causes our household to be blessed, our disobedience causes our household to be cursed.

 

Do You Love Your Family Enough to “Obey”?

Do You love yourself so much, that you will bring destruction to your household?

 

Just like the first two people on earth could not get away with disobedience and sin, we today, cannot get away with disobedience and sin.  Even though Jesus has died for our sins, “We Must Obey”.  To say I love my family and to live in a way that brings destruction to my family is evidence that I am not only a sinner, but a foolish, lying, sinner.  But can a sinner be wise?

 

The state of our family is “directly related to our life of obedience or disobedience”.  To be the children of parents who will lie, cheat, and steal, is to be the children of parents who brings destruction to their households.  Examine your household and “its state”, and the households of people you know, and see if you find this to be so.  Are you tired of seeing the destruction to your household?  “Repent Today”!  Get rid of the “thing” or “stop doing the sin” that’s “bringing the destruction”.

 

Repentance brings Salvation, Refusing to Repent Continues The Destruction!

 

Ask God to Bless You To “Stand Up”.

Love your family enough to Live, Walk, in Obedience to His Word,

And Watch The Destruction End.
