There is no Wisdom in Deceiving Oneself, Only Foolishness!

 

But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.  For he looks at himself and goes away and “at once” forgets what he was like.  But the one who looks into the “perfect law of liberty”, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. (James 1:22-25)

Salvation occurs when we 

“Do The Word” not when we “Hear The Word” Only!

 

Deception!

The “act” of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.

 

Self-Deception!

The “act” of causing yourself to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.

 

Why would anyone choose to “deceive themselves”?  Maybe pride, arrogance, foolishness, to present an untrue image, etc.  To deceive anyone is a bad thing.   To deceive yourself borders on ignorance and stupidity, at best. Overall, the Thinking Process, the heart/mind has been filled with garbage, the world, and “Not with The Word”.

 

To say, Jesus is My Lord and Savior and not “Do” what He says, is 

“Self-Deception”!

 

The Perfect Law of Liberty – Gives us Freedom To “Live Our Purpose”!

 

We are not free when we “can do” whatever we want,

 we are free when we “are doing” what we were “Made To Do”.  (Psalms 119:45)

 

The “Words we Speak”

and the “Things we Do” are the “Fruit” of our “Thinking Process”!

Learning to control our Thinking Process are “Keys” to Victory in our Living!

 

Blessings comes to us from God when we “Do The Word”.  Doing The Word is Love, hearing the Word and not doing the Word is “just noise”.  Doing the Bible is Doing The Word.  Doing religion and tradition is not doing the Word.  There are “so many different” religions and traditions throughout the world.  There is Only One Word, this is what God Commands us to “Obey, to Do”; it’s found in The Bible.

 

When we “Do The Word” “Life Happens”!

We are in the Driver’s Seat of our Life.  We drive toward Life or Death!

 

I heard a man say,

it is not intelligent to “Think” about things you do not want to happen.  

 

Solomon tells us what to think on: 

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, “Think on These Things”.  (Philippians 4:8)

Thinking on these things lead to Life, and Life more Abundantly!
