Solomon's Price.

                                                                 Solomon’s Price.

What Is The Price For Your Evil?

Solomon did “evil” in the sight of the Lord, and did not “fully follow the Lord”, as did his father David.  So, the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart (mind) had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the Lord had commanded.  “Therefore” the Lord said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My Covenant and My Statues, which I commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant”.  (1 Kings 11:6, 9-11)

Solomon’s Price was “The Love of Sex” with Foreign Women.

Our Daily Nugget

is letting us know that “sexual immorality” is considered “evil” in God’s Sight.  Sexual Immorality will also lead us away from “fully following the Lord”.  To “not fully follow the Lord” is to “Not Follow the Lord”.  Remember, Adam only ate a fruit that he was told not to eat; God sentenced him and all his offspring to death for his evil.  We might consider this cruel and unusual punishment, but God doesn’t .  The seed of sexual immorality produces “fruit that we don’t like”.

Evil: Anything that is harmful, wicked, or bad.

It is wise to know if we are evil or not.  Evil presents itself in our living, “In Many Ways”; our Daily Nugget is showing us the Price Solomon paid for “evil”, in the form of sexual immorality.  God told Solomon not to intermarry with the foreign women; Solomon did it anyway.  Having sex is not sin, as long as it is done within God’s design.  When sex is committed outside of God’s Design it is “evil”.

Evil actions lead to death; it doesn’t matter how we feel about it; we and our households will pay for our evil actions.  Things that God has “built up” for us, He will tear them down if we turn to evil in any form.

David and Solomon both committed sexual immorality and David’s sexual immorality led him to commit murder.  David repented and never again did we see where he committed sexual immorality; he was considered to fully follow God.  Solomon did not repent and continued in his evil.  They both paid a huge price, David repented and was restored, Solomon did not repent and was not restored.

Ask God to Bless you with the

Wisdom to Repent and to Fully Follow Him and Keep Your Blessing.
