Courage to "Say No".

                                                              Courage to “Say No”.

 

We can, Say No to Sin.

 

Yield Not to Temptation for Yielding is Sin!  (Romans 7:15)

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man; God is Faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation “He Will” also provide “the way of escape”.  (1 Corinthians 10:13)

 

Trusting in God gives us the Courage To “Say No”.

 

Our Daily Nugget

is telling us how we are to look at and deal with the temptation to sin.  The “decision” to sin or not to sin starts “between our ears” through Thinking.  “What” are you Thinking?Our living follows our Thinking.  God knows if we “want to sin” or if we “want to say no”.

 

God would never command his children to do something that is impossible for us to do; neither would you do that to your children.  That would be worse than cruel.  The sinful self, focus on the desire for pleasure.  “Initially” sin is pleasurable, but it always turns into “displeasure”; and we will determine that “the sin was not worth it”.  Oftentimes we must “stand alone” in saying no, this takes “Courage”.

 

Courage – The willingness to act in obedience to God’s “Calling and Purpose”, 

                  relying on His strength and guidance.

 

A humbled heart/mind, trusting Jesus in prayer to deliver will produce the “Courage we Need to Say No”.  Jesus “Have Saved” us from the Power of Sin.  We must have a “Desire to Obey” before we will receive the “Courage to Say No”.  With a desire to sin we will not receive the Courage to Say No.  God knows our desires.

 

A heart/mind filled with Sincerity and Truth will provide us with the Courage to Say No.  This is also referred to as “Dying to Self”.  We cannot live for God until we die to self. Self does not want what God wants, self wants pleasure.

 

Remember that the old “is gone”, the new “has come”.  Kingdom Citizens who “live for the future” and “have died to the past” will receive “The Courage to Say No”. To Say No is Resisting the Devil, when we resist the devil, “He Must Flee”.
