Words minus “Sincerity and Truth”.

 

Now therefore, “Fear the Lord”, serve Him in “Sincerity and In Truth”, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River in Egypt.  Serve The Lord.  (Joshua 24:14-15)

 

Love and Noise Can Never Dwell Together.

 

Our Daily Nugget

starts with the words, “Now Therefore”.  Joshua had just finished reminding the people of all the mighty works that God did for them and how God made them victorious against all the armies that they defeated.  God has done mighty works for us and has made us victorious over many enemies.  God requires Sincerity and Truth.

 

“Therefore”, we should serve Him in “Sincerity and Truth”.  If we do not serve God in sincerity and truth, we are trying to serve Him in “deception and lies”.  Their forefathers served other gods.  God told them that they must abandoned the gods of their fathers and worship and serve the God of heaven and earth.  

 

People are worshipping beings, we will worship “The True God” or “a false god. Whatever we put our Faith and Trust in, over God, is “our god”.  To place our Faith and Trust in anything other than God “Is Noise”. To worship the God of Heaven and Earth, the True God “We Must Love” all people, not just people we like.  If we do not Love, we just make Noise. 

 

Noise is like “rain clouds floating over dry and thirsty land and floats over it and drops no rain”.  Sincerity and Truth will always lead us to Love.  Noise will lead us to “Act Like We Love People”, but “We Don’t Love Them”, we just act like we do.

 

God is telling us today to get rid of the “gods” we had before we said we believe.  We cannot have “false gods” and “The God of Heaven and Earth”; if we try to have both “He will spew us out of His mouth”. Meaning we only “Think” we are saved.  Sincerity and Truth do not dwell with a lying spirit, heart/mind.

 

Our Daily Nugget 

is A Call to Repent and Be Saved from “the world’s way of living” and death.

 

Ask God to Bless you with a Spirit of Sincerity and Truth 

which will lead you to Make Love and to Quit Making Noise.  Noise Can’t Save.

Rely On Faith.

                                                                                       Rely On Faith. And We Will Be Blessed like Abraham.   Understand, then, that those who have “Faith” are children of Abraham.  Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by “Faith” and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham:  “All nations will be blessed through you”.  So those who “Rely On Faith” are blessed along with Abraham, the man of Faith.
