Respectable!

                                                                           Respectable!

Who Is Respectable?

I have found one in a thousand men whom I can “respect”, but not one woman I can “respect” among them all.  (Ecclesiastes 7:28).

Solomon, the Wisest man to every lived, said this.

Being the wisest man to have ever lived, Solomon probably said a whole lot, much more than a book the size of the Bible could contain.  God chose our Daily Nugget as one of Solomon’s sayings to place in His Instruction Manual, the Bible, for us to live by.  Therefore, everything in the Bible is critical.

Respect - Signifies worthiness of respect, characterized by dignity, decency, and a life that is orderly and worthy of emulation.  This often includes qualities like “being above reproach, temperate, and self-controlled”.

Respectable - Worthiness of respect, characterized by a decent character and behavior, and a life lived in accordance with God’s teachings and values.

Our Daily Nugget

is painting a very bleak picture of the character of people.  He says that only one in a thousand men he found he could respect; he found not one woman he could respect.  This is the “fallen” state of man and woman.

Let’s do the math.  Out of one million men, he found only 1,000 that he could respect; out of one million women, he found not one that he could respect.  This is our fallen state; Jesus “Have Saved” us from this fallen state; however, if we reject His Salvation, and His Instruction Manual, we will remain in this fallen state.

We must “respect” people and be “respectable” to people!

Respect is a “mandatory ingredient to Love”.  If I do not respect you, I do not Love You.  We are commanded to Love our neighbors, our neighbors are everybody.  We are to love people, even when, they are not respectable.  Liars are not respectable, but we are to respect liars also; just don’t believe them, for they are liars.  Liars lie.

The more respect we show toward others, the more Respect God  show toward us.  Do not allow anger at a person nor disappointment in a person lead you to be disrespectful.  To disrespect your neighbor is to disrespect God.

To Respect Others is to Receive Respect from God for You and Your Household!

Bless yourself and your household today, “Respect Everyone you Interact With”.
