Two Hearts.
Two Hearts.
The Heart that Thinks or the Heart that Pumps blood?
The Heart Between our Ears - The Heart, the Organ in our Chest.
You shall “Love” the Lord your God with “All Your Heart“ (between the ears) and with “All your Soul” (between the ears) and with “All your Mind (between the ears). (Matthew 22:37)
He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to “Do Justice”, and to “Love Kindness”, and to “Walk Humbly” with your God? (Micah 6:8)
The Bible speaks of the Heart “Between Our Ears”.
The World speaks of the Heart “In the Middle of Our Chest”. Do you associate “The Heart” with “How You Feel” or do you associate the Heart with “What God Requires of us” and “What we Do or Don’t Do”? When we associate God’s Word with “How we Feel” we miss the “Essence of Scripture”. We are Blessed or Cursed based on “What We Do or Don’t Do”, not “How we Feel or Don’t Feel”.
Jesus did not “Feel Like” Suffering and Dying on Calvary!
God requires a “Heart”, (between the ears) that is loving, humble, and devoted to Him; that Heart, the fleshly organ between our chest, cannot do this, all it does is pump blood; pumping blood is important, but it is not the Word. Oftentimes, when we Christians talk to one another and “The Heart” comes up, you will see someone “put their hand on their chest”, where the Heart that is a “Fleshy” organ is. This is “Never the Heart” that the Bible talks about. The Heart that the Bible talks about is “Between our Ears’ through a Process we call Thinking”. This Heart does not address “How We Feel”. This is where we Please God or make God our Enemy.
The Heart, between our ears is concerned about God’s Word and His Will; “The Bible”. The Heart, the fleshy organ in our chest is about “How we Feel”; how we feel is not God’s Word and when we obey our feelings instead of God’s Word, it leads us astray from God. We should never permit our feelings to guide our actions.
God is Pleased when we “Do His Will”, not when we “Feel a Certain Way”.
Commit Today, in your Heart/Mind to Obey His Word and Watch What Happens.
