Love
Love.
What’s Love Got To Do With It?
Beloved, let us “Love One Another”, for Love is of God; and “everyone who Loves is born of God” and “Knows God”. He who “Does not Love” “Does Not Know God”, for God is Love. In this the Love of God was manifested toward us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might “Live Through Him”. (1 John 4:7-11)
If I “Do Not” Love you, I “Do Not Know Jesus”.
The word “Love” has meanings and understandings to people as varied as the stairs in the sky; but to the Christian:
Love - Is a Selfless, Sacrificial, and “Active Commitment” to the well being of others., rooted in God’s own nature. Its not primarily a feeling, “But A Demonstration of Care”, Kindness, and compassion, often expressed through actions and a desire for the other person’s good.
Our Daily Nugget
is saying to us that; “Love” is “Where the Rubber Meets the Road”. Being the Church benefits the People who need to be Loved, Helped; Having Church benefits the one who attends the Church Service. “Having Church” without “Being the Church” is Not Love. It is impossible to Obey the Great Commandments without “Loving your Neighbor”.
Who Have You Loved, Helped, Done For, Lately?
Take spouses, parents, children, grandchildren, out of the picture; “Now”, “Prove you Love Your Neighbor as you love yourself”. This proof or the lack of it, let’s us know if we Love The Lord. Love of the world will prevent us from loving one another. We cannot Love the Lord and Love the World.
To “Love our neighbor” is to love ourselves and “It Honors God”.
Greed, pride, selfishness; these are things that prevents us from loving. To remember that naked we came into this world and naked we are going out of this world helps us to not hold on to worldly things. Love is like a life flowing river; selfishness and greed is like a Dead Sea; always receiving and never giving.
“Bless you and your Household”;
Love Your Neighbor Today.
